Is your list real long...or real short?

Oh dear, such a loaded question: what to ask Santa for this year. I realize that many are hoping for things to go back to the way they were before COVID-19 happened; back to normal--whatever that was, and whatever it means to everybody! To each his own, right? Oddly enough, this year I'm not hoping for things to return to pre-COVID times. I'm hoping, actually that we've learned a thing or two about ourselves, each other and our world. I mean, how could we have gone through such turmoil and not learned a few things, right? For Christmas this year, all I want is (to be able to say this with a dry eye, for starters) a new outlook for us all on how precious life and special moments are and should be. Did you discover that there were some things that you took for granted. I did, but not anymore. I'm going in to 2021 with eyes wide open - just wait and see!
